Kevin M. De Cock trained in internal medicine in the United Kingdom and then focused on infectious and tropical diseases and hepatology. He later joined the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and has held diverse positions including founding director of CDC’s Center for Global Health. He was head of the Department of HIV/AIDS in 2006-2009, and was Professor of Medicine and International Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
