Vittal Katikireddi is Professor of Public Health & Health Inequalities at the University of Glasgow and an honorary Consultant in Public Health Scotland. His chief research interests are in harnessing linked large-scale datasets to conduct epidemiological and natural experiment studies. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been co-chair of the Scottish Government’s Expert Reference Group on Ethnicity and COVID-19 and a member of the UK Government’s Scientific Advisory Group on Emergencies (SAGE) subgroup on ethnicity.
